11 signs you are healing

What is healing and how do you know if you’re actually doing it right? Or at all? 

Healing is the process of “growing sound; getting well; or mending”. This can happen on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level–and healing is different for everyone so there is no “right” way to do it. But here are eleven signs that you are healing; 

  1. You have more good parts of your day than bad; we all have ups and downs in our day. This is totally normal and helps you process life–choose some healthy ways to deal with these up/down moments.

  2. You realize that bad situations are only temporary; even when you have a really bad day you realize that this is a temporary situation. Tomorrow is another day. 

  3. You are making healthier eating habits; the way you treat your body is a reflection of how you feel internally. When you feel better about yourself on the inside you start treating yourself better on the outside by feeding yourself nourishing foods. 

  4. You make sleep a priority 

  5. You recognize when you need space and you give yourself that space

  6. You set healthy boundaries and surround yourself with good people

  7. You speak kindly about your body

  8. You nourish your mind 

  9. You are able to honor and release your negative emotions

  10. You understand that what people say about you is a reflection of their own insecurity

  11. You continually look for ways to be happier and healing
