What are ritual bath blends?

Maybe you’ve asked yourself the same question recently!

To put it simply: ritual baths blends are just a bath with a set intention and optional plants that carry that intention in order to strengthen and magnify your desires!

I know, it might sound kind of weird if you’re not a bath person or into witchy/spiritual shit, but think about it:

  • Everything is energy (you can read more about that here or sign up for my FREE intro to vibrations email guide)
  • your thoughts and feelings are powerful energy (more on that in my free guide)
  • water conducts electricity aka energy…so water conducts your intention
  • salt also conducts electricity and can even be strong enough to make a lightbulb shine (I know! Crazy!)

So basically, the idea of a ritual bath is that you set your intention then basically meditate on that while you’re in the bath and your intention is amplified.

DIY Ritual Bath Blends

I’m a believer that spells can be easy peasy, but there are times when I really want to connect to an intention or co-create my reality with the universe and this DIY ritual bath blends are a fun way to do that! So, these spells are pretty extra, in contrast to how I usually do a thing. You can use the whole plant form, but for the sake of ease and cost-efficiency, I use essential oils.

All ritual bath blends have a starting base: 1 cup of salt (I use epsom or sea salt) and 7-10 drops of essential oil or a combo of oils. For info on the oils I use you can send me a message or sign up for my therapeutic oils email guide! I get bulk salt from Salt Works.

You may see baking soda in bath blends, but I recently learned that baking soda is a poor electrical conductor, so I’m opting out of it. If you want a powdery substance you can substitute your baking soda with milk powder, which helps to conduct electricity.

Abundance blend

I’m calling this my money bath; this is for calling in monetary abundance–money is just energy and the highest energy is love. Lately, I’ve been using this little money prayer (aka spell):

“Thank you for the money in my life. Thank you for guiding me to clear the way for more money. I love money and I am always open to receive money. The money I receive is a beautiful gift. I am an open conduit for light, love, and good, beautiful money in all forms. Money is love and I am full of love. Love uses me for good. Money uses me for good and I use money for good. This loving money is life-changing and I love the money I have. Thank you, Universe, for providing more money than I can imagine. Thank you for today, and thank you for loving money. I am open to receive it.”

I’ve been closing my spells or prayers with “amama ua noa” which is Hawaiian for “the prayer is flown free”.

Here is what you’ll need for your abundance ritual bath blend:

  • 1 cup of sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (for hard work and abundance, nothing comes without putting in the effort!)
  • 7 drops wild orange for abundance
  • A pinch of copper mica powder (optional) copper conducts electricity very well! If you don’t have copper mica powder you can always throw a couple of pennies in the bath 🙂

Crystal companion: citrine, a crystal of abundance. You can simply hold this, put it next to or in your bath.

Add the essential oil to your salt. Mix it in and let is infuse your oils for about five minutes. Add the copper mica powder if you have it and mix it in. Then drop the honey on top and add to your bath!

Release + Recharge Blend

For when you’re hurt, angry, frustrated, or disconnected. You can use the simplified ancient Hawaiian healing prayer of forgiveness Ho’oponopono (learn to pronounce it in the video below)

“I’m Sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”

I’m sorry = sorry for whatever it is that needs to be released
Please forgive me = your part + the feelings you’re holding onto
Thank you = gratitude and to show your commitment to releasing, letting go, and forgiving
I love you = LOVE is the greatest healer

You can use Ho’oponopono even when you’re not sure WHY you’re feeling hurt, angry, or disconnected. You simply say the prayer and say “Whatever this is, I choose to forgive it.” (from Hawaiian Shamanistic Healing).

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup sea salt
  • 5 drops black spruce. This is a grounding and energizing oil
  • 2 drops copaiba. This helps us to identify emotions, aid in releasing those emotions and then calming us.

Crystal companion: selenite helps to release negative energy, release energy blockages, and protect you. It is sometimes called liquid light. If you put this in the water it will start to dissolve–this is okay as long as you don’t mind your crystal eventually disappearing or changing shape. Otherwise, just keep it near you.

Love blend

For when you’re feeling lost, unloved, and disconnected from light. You can use the Ho’oponopono prayer again in this ritual but direct it towards yourself and your relationship with your body.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3/4 cup sea salt
  • 1/4 cup alaea sea salt. This Hawaiian sea salt is mixed with red volcanic clay that is symbolic of connection to the ancestors and can help you in connecting with your ancestral wisdom and love.
  • 1 drop rose for divine love (I find that my rose is so powerful that one drop is more than enough)
  • 3 drops cedarwood for community and connection
  • 3 drops grapefruit for love of self

Crystal companion: rose quartz for love and/or carnelian for courage and confidence, as well as protect against jealousy.

Clarity + Vision Blend

Maybe you’re not sure what you need–this is the ritual bath blend for you! Simply ask for clarity on your path. Maybe even pull an oracle card to meditate on while you’re in the bath.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of black salt for protection + block negativity, optional (note: this will probably make a huge mess in your tub)
  • 2 drops clary sage for clarity and connection to third eye
  • 3 drops juniper berry to help you “see” in the darkness
  • 3 drops patchouli to keep you grounded (optional)

Crystal companion: amethyst helps to balance the crown chakra, clear negativity, and connect energy and intentions with the Universe.
