I know what it’s like to know that you’re loved, but still feel empty inside. I know what it’s like to cry while feeding my babies, to lie in bed and wonder if the world would be better if I wasn’t in it, but still knowing damn well that I have so much to be grateful for. I know what it’s like to feel invisible, but want so badly to be seen, to be held, to be helped, and to be heard. I know what it’s like to burst at the seams and fall apart, what it feels like to be drowning without water.

And I know what it’s like to be free of that. Some people start a business to help others. I created mine to save myself. To have something to do every day outside of my children, but without having to leave them to go work because that wasn’t what I wanted. Maybe you’ve been there. Maybe you are there. And maybe we can help.

Nobody talks about the identity crisis some of us go through after marriage and babies. And after almost seven years of marriage I had reached my breaking point. I had unhealed wounds that caused me to shrink back into silence because it was more comfortable than speaking up for myself...until it wasn’t anymore. I got to the point where I wished I would disappear. The point where I thought my kids and my husband would be better off without me. As our marriage was breaking down and I was giving up, there was a moment of light that allowed for growth: therapy, lots of healing, really deep self care and yes, this business and essential oils, helped me replant and grow deeper roots. Preach what you love instead of bashing what you hate--this is why I PREACH self-care. Because you are worth loving and you are worth living. Now I run this business because I want to live my happiest life, not because I’m trying to escape myself.

You don’t have to create a business to save yourself. Maybe you’ll create it so save someone else, or maybe you’ll just create it because you want to. Either way, I’d love to be the one to help you bloom into you.

Show up and share

I’m just a regular human empowering you to care less about what people say and more about what you actually want to do with your life.

What does freedom look like to you? If you could spend your time doing anything, what would you be doing? How would it feel? What goals are you willing to struggle for? Growth and freedom are my two core values; doTERRA gives me both. I’m able to grow my business at my own pace in my own way—and there are no limits! To me, freedom looks like being able to stay home full-time with my kiddos. It means having the opportunity to work from home while they jump on the trampoline. It means building my business my way, and helping you create the business that you envision.

The most important thing in your business is that you show up and share.

I like to say that what we do isn’t hard, but it takes hard work; if you’re looking for a “get rich quick” thing, this isn’t it, but you can go as fast as you want. If you’re looking to stay comfortable then this isn’t for you either–but if you’re willing to jump in, push yourself, and help others, then we would work well together!

How it works

This is a business of building community and connection. I have not done this alone; I surrounded myself with incredible and supportive business partners. Leaders that are now some of my best friends! I would not be where I am without them showing up consistently. I am so grateful for their roles in our tribe! But here are the technical things you need to know:

join our tribe with a starter kit

set up your 100 pv Loyalty Rewards Order

set up your doTERRA website under your account (I can help walk you through this)

each month you’ll place a 100 point Loyalty Rewards Order (this qualifies you for commission and is also an investment back into your business.)

decide how you’ll share and sell essential oils. Then schedule four classes or set up a strategy. I can help you with this! Will you be doing in person classes? On on one meetings? Sharing through an established blog or social media presence? Sampling? There is no single way to create your business. I do not recommend blasting your new business all over your personal Facebook page ♥

is there something you’re passionate about sharing with others that ties into essential oils? (it’s okay if there isn’t! I didn’t start with anything in particular)

Here are six things I’ve built my business on

If you’re considering creating a partnership with myself, your self, and doTERRA, commit for at least one year before you quit. It doesn’t mean that you won’t want to quit before year one is over—you might want to quit in your first two weeks, tbh. Sometimes it’s hard to keep going when you aren’t seeing the results right away. But everything is a season. You will get there if you commit to showing up and doing the work consistently.

Consistency is the key to growing your business. And I don’t mean, “consistently, once every three months.” I mean consistently, week to week, day to day, you are doing the things to move yourself forward in your business. For example; you hold a class every week on a set day and time. You connect (follow up) with 2 people every day or 10 people each week. You create new, authentic connections with people you actually want to be friends with. You show up, even when you don’t feel like doing the work. Not only that, use your oils consistently as well!

Commit to holding classes consistently! I challenge you to hold at least four classes in your first month, and then at least 2 the following months for the next year. We have resources for teaching classes, as well as training videos from doTERRA so you know exactly what to say in your class—even if you’re new to oils! and BTW, you pretty much always know more than the people you’re sharing with :)

When you create authentic connections with people your business will thrive. This is easier to do in person, but also something you can do online, it may just take longer! Do not try and force relationships that do not feel good or one-sided. Rather, nourish friendships and relationships that come naturally. “I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” ―Brené Brown

Authentic connection creates community. Be friends with your customers! Know their family, their likes and dislikes, continue to build your relationship even after they’ve become a customer. We all want to belong somewhere; invite your customers to join our communities and continue the connection.

Courage is defined as: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.  Brene Brown says “Courage is asking for what you need.” We need both definitions in this business. I need to know what you need support with, what you’re afraid of, what makes you excited about the future even though it might scare you. We need to move through the difficult times to reach your goals. We need to move past the fear of being “sales-y” and move into the courage to serve and create change.

2017 - 2019

a global humanhood

How does your garden grow? With water and rain and a million bugs and flowers, of course. A diverse garden is a healthy garden. In the past two and a half years we’ve had the chance to create relationships with humans all over the world, specifically Australia, Canada, Germany, and over 40 states in the USA.

When you partner with me you’re joining this world-wide tribe, supported by our leaders and our online family. You’ll become part of our sister-tribe @lovewildtribe. And though we all come from different backgrounds these are a few of the things we have in common:

In our tribe you’re not just customers. You are our friends. You are our family. You are part of this community and we value you. We want to help you reach your goals and support you where we can, even outside of doTERRA. Our love and growth does not end with oils.

We stand strong in our own truths and health values. We have the courage and confidence to stand in our truth without diminishing your truth.

We openly embrace and welcome those who are different than us; we are all humans regardless of gender, sexuality, skin color, etc. We want you here. Your unique experiences and perspectives are what give our tribe life.

self-care + Self-healing

We encourage self-care and whatever that looks like for you. It also means we encourage you to take your wellness into your own hands—learn about the oils! Make blends! Share them with your friends! Give your body permission to heal and give yourself permission to be a part of that healing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an MLM?

Yes, this is absolutely a multi-level marketing company. The way we buy is changing, and so is the way we get paid. The way an MLM is structured is so everyone has an equal opportunity to create a CEO-worthy position in their business. You won’t get that working at a regular job.

How do you get paid?

Essentially, you’re paid based on the number of sales you make each month. Though you do get a bonus for helping others set up their wholesale account, your main income is from monthly sales. This thirteen minute video is the best explanation of how our compensation plan works.

Do I have to do parties?

You can create your business however you want, and to be honest, I’ve only done a handful of parties and I’ve never helped anyone open a membership at them. For the most part I've built social media (Instagram) with a following I already had built strong relationships with before I started sharing essential oils. This is good, but is not the only way to build and if you’re only looking to build online to stay in your comfort zone, this may not be for you because you’re already limiting yourself right out of the gate! Try different ways of sharing information and see what is best for you! Holding small home classes, one on one appointments, make and take workshops are all good ways to build your business. There is no one size fits all way to build!
