How to reduce stressful and anxious feelings naturally
Science tells us that we have three brains; our mind, our heart, and our gut.
Since our emotions are chemical messengers, they are not limited to our MIND, but can travel and affect our other brains; the heart and the gut and influence the rest of our body!
Here are some fun facts:
Our subconscious mind directs over 90% of our behavior–basically, this operates without our awareness and we are not actively controlling this mind.
We have more neuropathways that run from the heart to our brain than we do from our brain to the heart–so when you think you’re making a logical decision, you’re likely making a heart-based decision (hellooooo, intuition!)
90% of our “feel-good” chemical, serotonin, is located in our gut and I learned recently at doTERRA’s convention, that only ONE-PERCENT is developed in our brain. Low levels of serotonin have been linked to depression and if your gut isn’t healthy, you’re likely to feel more sad/emotional distress than you would if your gut was healthy and happy.
Our emotions can be processed in each of these areas and if negative emotions are not addressed, then they can create discomfort in the body; head tension, knots in your stomach, sleep disturbances–sometimes even leading to chronic illness when you stay in a low-vibrating environment for an extended period of time.
Think about it: you’ve got a million things going on and you start to stress. You think, “I have so much to do and I don’t have enough time.” Maybe you start to sweat, your heart starts to pound, your temper is short, and your stomach starts to feel gross.
Your thought of “I’m stressed” directly impacted the rest of your body! While stress is a normal and healthy response to what your body sees as threats when you feel stressed over and over and over it directly impacts your physical health leading to increased risk of anxiety, digestive issues, unnecessary weight gain, sleep problems, and more.
What to use // Copaiba softgels // Serenity softgels // Balance
These copaiba softgels are great for relaxing the body in times of stress–even if it’s as soon as you wake up in the morning and feel overwhelmed. So take a softgel, then add two drops of Balance to your hands, inhale deeply three times, then apply it to your feet. It’s a great way to set the tone for your day. I’ve been using one before bed each night with the Serenity softgels which really help me to get RESTFUL sleep.
Choose to use or all and do one each day. It’s totally up to you and use an oil before you journal. Feel free to tag me @folkandco on Instagram! I’d love to share in my story!

Write out your anger and frustrations (this is a great way to release them and make space for new energy) You can write a letter to someone–you don’t even have to give it to them, but that way you can release some of those feelings.
What are some of my favorite songs or quotes to help bring me out of my low-vibe environment?
